Founder Frank Tschida. Former Sprint car builder, liquor store owner, and excavating contractor (specializing in HAZMAT) is the mechanical mastermind that keeps Motorworks equipment running at peak performance. He is also actively involved in all design projects, including drawing the original logo and concept development of Motorworks’ award wining can designs.
Head Brewer Bob Haa. When he’s not formulating recipes and brewing beer Bob enjoys hiking and attending music festivals. He grew up in Cullman Alabama then studied Biology at St. Mary’s College in Southern Maryland and Mycology at the University of Minnesota. During his college days Bob started home brewing as a hobby and took several medals in competitions. Bob began a career in commercial brewing in 1998 at Hops Restaurants in Minneapolis and then a year with St. Sebastian brewery in 2004. Bob spent 8 years selling craft beer in Florida before taking the dive back into the production side at Motorworks.
Barry Elwonger’s official title is Director of Sales and Marketing but he fills many roles for the company. He is in charge of the sales force, marketing efforts including graphic design, Government tax compliance and a myriad of other duties. He is a Certified Cicerone, Certified Beer Judge (BJCP), and an absolute beer fanatic. Prior to joining the Motorworks Brewing team, Barry had several years of experience as a project manager for an engineering firm, affiliate marketer, graphic designer, beer blogger, and volunteer for numerous Florida breweries. Originally from Key West, Barry spent 10 years in Orlando before moving to the Suncoast. He is a proud UCF Graduate (MBA & BSBA Marketing/Sales Force Management). Barry enjoys life-time learning and tends to obtain new degrees or certificates every few years. For example, Barry recently finished a Marketing Strategy Certificate at Cornell. He is a sushi lover and spends his leisure time biking, scuba diving, collecting beer, attending live music events, and playing sports.
